Cookie settings
This page explains how the Salvador Dalí Archives Museum website uses cookies and how to manage your choices.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website places in your browser. It lets the site remember certain information, such as your preferences, from one page or visit to the next.
Necessary cookies
These cookies are needed for the site to work and cannot be turned off:
- cc_cookie: records your cookie choices.
- Google reCAPTCHA cookies: set when you use a form, to check that the submission does not come from a robot.
The site also remembers, for your visit only, that the intro video has already been shown to you. This is kept in your browser’s session storage and cleared when you close the tab.
Audience measurement
Only with your consent, the site uses Google Analytics, Google’s audience measurement tool, to understand, anonymously, how it is used (pages viewed, where visits come from) and improve it. If you refuse, Google Analytics is not loaded and none of these cookies are set. If you withdraw your consent, they are deleted.
_ga and _ga_941KHSDDDY: Google Analytics cookies that tell visitors and their visits apart, for traffic statistics. They are kept for up to 13 months.
Managing your preferences
On your first visit, a window lets you accept or refuse the cookies that are not necessary. You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.
You can also delete or block cookies in your browser’s settings. Some features of the site, such as the forms, may then stop working.
Retention period
Your cookie choice is kept for six months, after which we ask you again. Google reCAPTCHA cookies follow Google’s rules, described in its privacy policy.
To learn how we handle your personal information, see our Privacy policy.
