Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information the Salvador Dalí Archives Museum (MASD) collects on its website, why it collects it, who it is shared with and what your rights are. It follows Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
Information we collect
We only collect the information you send us through the site’s forms:
- Space booking request: the organiser’s name, your email address, the venue you would like, the type of event, the number of guests, the date, whether the event lasts several days and the description of your request.
- Newsletter sign-up: your email address and the language of the site.
The site never asks for payment information. When you browse it, technical information (IP address, browser type) is processed by our service providers to display the pages and protect the site.
How we use it
Your information is used only to:
- answer your booking request and follow up on it;
- send you an email confirming your sign-up, then our newsletter;
- protect our forms against automated submissions (spam).
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Service providers
To run the site, we rely on providers that process some information on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Sanity (storage of requests and sign-ups), Twilio SendGrid (sending emails), Google reCAPTCHA (form protection) and, only with your consent, Google Analytics (audience measurement).
These providers may store information outside Quebec, notably in the United States. Before sharing any information with them, we make sure it is adequately protected, as the law requires.
Cookies
The site uses cookies it needs to work and, only with your consent, Google Analytics audience measurement cookies. To learn more and change your choices, see our Cookie settings page or use the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of the page.
Retention and security
We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected for: booking requests, for as long as it takes to handle and follow up on your request; newsletter addresses, until you unsubscribe. It is then deleted.
Access to your information is limited to the members of our team who need it, and exchanges between your browser and the site are encrypted (HTTPS).
Your rights
You may at any time ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, or withdraw your consent, for example by unsubscribing from the newsletter. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Contact us
For any question or request about your personal information, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information at contact@masd.ca, or by mail at 357 rue de la Commune Ouest, Montréal, Quebec H2Y 2E2.
